We have launched the Percentage Calculator — the most universal tool on the site: everyone needs percentages, from students to finance professionals. It solves four basic tasks: it finds a percentage of a number, works out what percent one number is of another, and adds or subtracts a percentage.

Four modes — one input

Switch the mode with the button at the top: “What is % of a number”, “What percent is”, “Add %” or “Subtract %”. Enter two numbers — the result and the formula appear instantly, with no “Calculate” button. What is 13% of your salary? How much cheaper is a phone with 25% off? What share of your budget does rent eat? The calculator answers at once.

The formula next to the answer

We show not just the number but the calculation with the values plugged in: “10% of 200 = 200 × 10 ÷ 100 = 20”. This is handy when you need to explain the math to a colleague or double-check yourself. You can print the result panel or send it as a link — the calculation is saved and opens for the recipient with the same numbers.

Why you need a percentage calculator

Percentages show up more often than you think: discounts in shops, tips in restaurants, interest on savings, tax on salary, progress against a plan. Doing them quickly in your head is a useful skill, and when you cannot be bothered or the numbers are big, the calculator helps: it computes precisely and shows the reasoning.
